About the Author
A cosmopolitan southerner, Martha A. Madden hails from Louisiana but has resided in Washington, D.C. for many years. She is talented and accomplished in both her career and hobbies. Madden can claim boosting numbers of appointments of women and minorities to boards and commissions in Louisiana; securing international speakers for the 1984 World’s Fair held in New Orleans; serving as the youngest Dean of Women in the South; Secretary of the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality; serving as an appointed volunteer to the National Defense Executive Reservists (FEMA); leading environmental consulting firms as Corporate Vice Presidents; and pursing her hobbies with the same spark she adds in the business and educational world.
